Samsung has issue with their Galaxy line of phones and tablets but it has nothing to do with Apple.  The issue is that the Galaxy line sells very, very well and it appears that Amazon has them for sale about one week earlier than the reported launch date.  Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus would be available for purchase on November 13th, but the Amazon website shows them in stock at this time.  Samsung was questioned and they said the tablet is available from some larger retailers, but will be ready for national release on the 13th of November.

Buy the 16GB Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus for only $399.

Amazon show the new tablet computer in stock for a price of $399 for the 16GB version and that includes free shipping.  The 32GB version is on the website, is listed at $499, but shows the tablet as out of stock at this time.  The Galaxy Tab Plus is the upgrade to the original Galaxy Tab which actually only hit the stores about one year ago.  When the original hit the shelves, the reviews came in fast and some didn’t look very good for Samsung.  One review posted online said the Tab was really just a large Android powered smartphone, but other than that, other reviews stayed positive overall.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is powered by Android 2.3 operating system and a dual-core processor.  The tablet comes with a 2MP camera on the front for video conferencing, as well as, a 3MP camera with flash and auto focus on the back side.  The internal storage is listed at a typical 16GB, but can be upgraded to 32GB via the microSD card slot.  The Samsung Galaxy series has been a very popular line of products for Samsung.  So popular that Apple has tried, and succeeded in some places, to get the sales banned.  If you didn’t already know, Samsung is being sued for patent infringement claiming the handset manufacturer has almost copied Apple’s iPhone and iPad completely.  Some of the components are the same of course, but the lawsuit goes as deep as the user interface.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus in 32GB version for only $499.

In the meantime, Samsung has not stopped releasing products and actually has also filed lawsuits against Apple claiming the same things.  It could be a back and forth fight for some time, but my guess is that Samsung is continuing the battle for a good reason.
