With the launch of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich late last year, smartphone manufacturers revisited their respective schedules to fit in the development of ICS for the handsets in their respective lineups. In the case of Samsung, when the manufacturer first came out with its ICS plans, it confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Note will be one of the first devices that will get upgraded to what back then was the latest version of the Google mobile operating system. At that time, the Korean manufacturer projected a Q1 ICs rollout date for the phablet.

This is not to be the case however as we all know now because Samsung in the past came out with the announcement that the ICS update for the Samsung Galaxy Note has been pushed back to Q2. This resulted to a lot of disgruntled Samsung Galaxy Note users but to atone for its actions, Samsung confirmed that it will include a Premium Suite of applications once it finally unleashes the ICS update for the phablet.
As for the Samsung Galaxy Note, when it was released late last year, Samsung let it slip that there is the off-chance that the phablet will not make it to US shores. AT&T however was able to work with Samsung and had the phablet added on to its lineup of Android-powered devices. Since then, the Samsung Galaxy Note became one of the bestsellers at AT&T especially after the smartpone-buying population realized the advantages of the phablet’s massive screen real estate.
That is not the only good thing going on for the phablet however. In fact, a great thing just happened to the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy Note because the carrier is about to rollout the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the phablet. The rollout is expected to start on July 10 so the wait is over for you AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note users out there.
Similar to the international version of the phablet, the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note will also get that promised Premium Suite of applications once Ice Cream Sandwich finally hits it. For the uninitiated, this is a collection of applications specifically designed to let a user take advantage and fully maximize the S-Pen stylus of the phablet. With this Premium Suite comes the new S Note application along with the reworked S Memo app for increased productivity.
As for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note, it has a Qualcomm MSM8660 SnapDragon chipset under the hood to power its operation while its snappy performance is brought about by its dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion processor and full gigabyte of RAM. The storage space onboard the phablet comes up to 16GB and a microSD card slot enables its user to further expand its internal memory. Its claim to fame however is its massive 5.3-inch SuperAMOLED panel with a 1280 x 800 resolution while its dual-shooter configuration is comprised of a rear 8MP camera and a front-facing 2MP video chat cam.
