galaxynoteiidecAt the moment, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is still the undisputed king of the hill in the phablet category of the smartphone competition because of the impressive resume it brings to the table. Its main selling point is its massive 5.5-inch of screen real-estate which essentially makes the handset the epitome of what a phablet should really be -  a cross between a smartphone and a tablet, hence the designation phablet. In addition to that, the second generation Samsung phablet comes with an impeccable resume made up of fire-breathing components under the hood that are comparable to what can be found in the internals of newer and more capable devices such as the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S IV that have recently hit the shelves.

However, those are not the only good things that that are going on for the Samsung Galaxy Note II especially if you have the variant of the phablet released by AT&T in our side of the world. The AT&T version of the Samsung phablet packs support for the carrier’s 4G LTE network and as such, stands to get a wider LTE playground because the carrier is continuously undertaking to expand its LTE coverage in US shores.

In fact, AT&T has already announced the expansion of its LTE network earlier this month which saw new and expanded coverage in six new locations. When the announcement was made, the carrier also promised that more locations stand to get blanketed with its LTE network and today, AT&T has confirmed that it is keeping that promise with the announcement that 20 new locations will get either new or expanded coverage. The list of these new locations is as follows:

Alabama

  • Huntsville

Arizona

  • Phoenix (East Mesa and Sun City)
  • Tucson (Oro Valley)

Arkansas

  • Monticello
  • Mountain Home

Florida

  • Lake City
  • Ocala

Louisiana

  • Shreveport / Bossier City

Michigan

  • Lansing

Mississippi

  • Gulfport / Biloxi

New Hampshire

  • Manchester (Nashua)

North Carolina

  • Henderson

Pennsylvania

  • Mechanicsburg

Tennessee

  • Chattanooga

Texas

  • Athens
  • Corsicana
  • Huntsville
  • Nacogdoches / Lufkin
  • Paris

Washington

  • Centralia

As mentioned earlier, this recent expansion being undertaken by the carrier will provide its variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note II a wider LTE playground so users of the handset can now expect more locations from where they can experience the ultra-fast mobile internet speeds brought about by AT&T’s LTE network.

Going back to the impressive resume of the Samsung Galaxy Note II, the operation of the handset is powered by its Exynos 4412 Quad chipset which brings into play a quad-core 1.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor and 2GB of RAM. The second generation Samsung phablet can be had in a 16GB and a 32GB variant in terms of storage capacity but if this is not enough for your storage needs, memory expansion is supported by the device via its microSD card slot. As mentioned earlier, the display of the Samsung Galaxy Note II is a 5.5-inch SuperAMOLED HD panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its camera department is a virtual twin of the Samsung Galaxy S III with its main 8MP shooter at its rear panel and secondary 1.9MP snapper at its front bezel.
