In today’s smartphone market, we begin to see quad-core powered devices starting to slowly become available which essentially ushers in a new era of mobile computing to our lives. When it comes to quad-core devices, HTC has the distinction of being the first manufacturer that released a smartphone powered by a quad-core processor when it came up with the HTC Edge late last year, a handset we have come to know as the HTC One X after it got officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress back in February.

AT&T immediately went to work and had the device added on to its lineup of Android-powered smartphones although the version of the handset that made its way to the shelves of the wireless carrier only has a dual-core processor under the hood. People might start thinking that the HTC One X 4G from AT&T is a bit underpowered compared to the quad-core powered international version of the handset but in reality, AT&T’s dual-core version of the handset actually got better benchmark scores compared to the original version of the HTC One X.
The HTC One X 4G made its debut in the shelves of AT&T last May 6 and has since then become one of the hottest smartphones in the lineup of the carrier. At the time of its launch, the handset had a price tag of $199.99 with a two-year contract attached to the package, a price point that was expected given the components and capabilities of the device. Despite being a bit pricey, the HTC One X 4G still was a hit with AT&T and the official site of the wireless provider has listed the handset on an “Out of Stock” status. This is only a testament to how warm the reception the handset got from our smartphone-crazed brethren.
However, if you really are intent on making the HTC One X 4G your mobile weapon of choice, an online retailer currently has the handset on stock and just waiting to be brought home for that matter. And not only that, the online retailer is offering the device at a much cheaper price point compared to the asking price of AT&T itself. This being said, the HTC One X 4G can be had at select AT&T authorized online retailers for only $129.99, a price point that will give you a savings of $70 in the process.
In terms of the components under its hood, the HTC One X 4G from AT&T packs a QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset which brings to the device a dual-core Krait processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and a full gigabyte of RAM. The device comes with an internal memory pegged at 16GB but this is non-expandable. In terms of its display, the HTC One X 4G sports a Super IPS LCD2 panel that has a diagonal of 4.7 inches and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. This handset already has Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for its operating system while its camera department is composed of an 8MP shooter at its back panel while its front bezel houses the handset’s front-facing 1.3MP video call and self-portrait camera.
