It looks like AT&T and HTC are very busy in plotting to fill the whole smartphone world with “One” love, so to speak. With HTC’s recent unveiling of its new flagship device for the Android ecosystem in the form of the HTC One X+, AT&T followed suit with an announcement of its own that it will be the exclusive carrier that will release the handset in US shores. Sad to say, no solid word yet has been released as to when we can expect the HTC One X+ in the shelves of the carrier but one thing is for sure, the HTC One X 4G is already getting ready to head to retirement with this announcement.

AT&T also has no plans of leaving the competition have all the fun in the Windows Phone side of things. It has also partnered with HTC in this matter and has confirmed that the next HTC flagship device for the Windows Phone ecosystem, the aptly- named HTC Windows Phone 8X, is also due to make an appearance in the shelves of the wireless provider. Although this piece of news has already been rumored in the past with HTC mentioning that the handset is already making its way to Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T, it is still nice to see AT&T going ahead and confirming things to ensure that nothing gets lost n translation.

Similar to the case of the HTC One X+, no pricing info or release date for the HTC Windows Phone 8X has been made available as of the moment but AT&T has confirmed that the handset is due to make its debut in its shelves this coming November where it will also be part of the massive LTE handset base of the wireless provider.

As for the HTC Windows Phone 8X, this is the premier offering of the Taiwanese smartphone and tablet manufacturer for the Windows Phone ecosystem. This early though, the handset is already mired in controversy because there were rumors that recently surfaced alleging that Nokia is already in the process of preparing a lawsuit against the HTC flagship device because of its uncanny resemblance to the Nokia Lumia 920. Regardless, nothing changes the fact that the HTC Windows Phone 8X is one capable device and we have the specs sheet of the handset coming right up to prove our point.

Just as its name suggests, the HTC Windows Phone 8X will ship with Windows Phone 8 for its operating system and this will draw power from the handset’s QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset. This SoC gives the handset a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and a full gigabyte of RAM while its onboard storage is pegged at 16GB. In terms of its display, the HTC Windows Phone 8X sports a 4.3-inch SuperLCD2 panel with a 1280 x 720 HD resolution while its camera department is also very impressive with its main 8MP rear shooter and front 2.1MP video call and self-portrait camera.
