The display in question runs 4.70 inches, with an extremely high-end pixel density of 312 pixels per inch. Battery conservation is accentuated by the built-in light and proximity sensors, and video out to an external HDTV or monitor is offered through wireless DLNA and wired microHDMI options found on the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD 4G.
Mirroring the extreme battery performance offered by the predecessor, the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX, the Razr MAXX HD offers a full 21.0 hours of talk time or 13.0 hours of video playback from a single charge of its oversized, extended life 3,300 mA battery. Up to 10.0 hours of single charge streaming video or 27.0 hours of streaming music are also possible when operating in Verizon 4G LTE coverage areas.
The Chrome for Android web browser has been pre-installed, and popular YouTube and Picasa applications are present as well. A built-in music player offers out-of-the-box access to your favorite music files, and the handset can perform as a mobile hotspot for multiple wireless devices. A dual core 1.5 GHz central processor joins 1.0 GB of RAM system memory and 32 GB of built-in data storage in the hardware package. The rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder provides video recording at 1,080P HD resolution, with a 1.3 megapixel chat cam up front.
