The BlackBerry Z10 is no doubt familiar to you if you are a smartphone shopper, or are in any way connected with or interested in the mobile marketplace. The phone totally redefines the physical form factor as we have come to know it for BlackBerry handsets, delivering for the first time ever a totally touchscreen interactive device. The 4.2 inch display is the largest ever found on a BlackBerry smartphone, the handset runs on a powerful dual core processor, and delivers the new BlackBerry 10 operating system.
The BlackBerry Z10 – 4G LTE is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $49.99.
Just recently the company announced that “Cut The Rope” was now available for download to the Z10 at the BlackBerry World web store, and this is the same game that has been played by more than 60 million mobile gamers. Om Nom is the name of the game’s principal character, a hungry little monster that you help feed. The game entails you cutting ropes attached to candy that he desires, and your finger acts like a knife as you swipe across the capacitive touchscreen of the Z10, releasing candy, collecting stars and breaking bubbles along the way.
What sounds like a very simplistic game is incredibly addictive, and is currently priced at $1.99. It is just one of 100,000 applications available for the BlackBerry Z10, which is an impressive number considering the handset has only been available since mid-March of this year. The company formally known as RIM claims this is the fastest and most advanced BlackBerry smartphone ever designed, and the slim form factor measures just 0.35 inches (9.0 mm) in thickness.
The 4.20 inch multitouch display delivers more than 16 million separate colors at the rate of 356 pixels per inch. That amounts to an overall resolution of 768 by 1,280 pixels, and as much as 10.0 hours of talk time can be achieved from a full charge. The system chip on board the Z10 handset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 model, built around a dual core 1.5 GHz CPU. 16 GB of built-in storage can be enhanced by the onboard microSD slot, and a generous 2.0 GB of RAM system memory is built-in.
The BlackBerry Z10 is capable of NFC wireless connectivity, can function as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot for multiple wireless devices, and offers video out through a microHDMI Type D connection. The phone delivers both rear and front cameras in its camera combo, with the rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder providing video capture at the rate of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (1,080P HD resolution). That camera delivers digital image stabilization, touch to focus and autofocus, and the front facing chat cam offers video call support, and contains a 2.0 megapixel sensor.
The BlackBerry Z10 – 4G LTE can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $49.99.
