nokiasiriustabletNokia has been rumored to be getting closer to joining those in the tablet market sometime this year and according to the latest reports, it looks like more information about that happening was just leaked via the internet.  Initial reports suggested that the device would be ready to ship around the end of September and with the month quickly winding down, it looks like Nokia will be taking it down to the last day before officially announcing the new tablet to the public.  One online source has been keeping a close eye on the progress of the tablet and share an image online showing the device front  and back sides.

According to the source, the Sirius tablet will be powered by the Windows software and could come with a price tag as low as $499.  Rumors suggest that the new tablet will feature a 10.1-inch IPS touch screen display, giving users more viewing angles and better options in the direct sunlight.  The camera on either side of a device has always been something that Nokia pays close attention to and the one on the tablet is certainly not getting ignored.  The back side camera will be a 6.7MP model with Carl Zeiss optics and a bunch of pre-loaded Nokia camera apps like those that appear on the Lumia series of smartphones.

The device is going to be running on Microsoft’s Windows RT software, so that means users will not be able to install any apps without getting them through the Windows Store.  The tablet is also going to have a Qualcomm 8974 quad-core processor and that means that users can expect to see about 10 hours of battery life without charging.  The tablet will also support 4G LTE technology, unlike the Surface RT tablet from Microsoft, plus Wi-Fi connections will also be supported.

The tablet is going to weigh around 1.3 pounds and measure just .35-inches thick.  The online source also explained that the Nokia Sirius would come with a keyboard and battery docking station much like the Power Cover accessory that has been rumored for the Surface 2 tablet from Microsoft.  It was last month when users first saw leaked images of the device and at that time it was thought that the company would announce the device along with the Nokia Lumia 1520, which is slated to take on the Galaxy Note 3 from Samsung.
