Motorola Droid Razr Maxx news:  In some cases, smartphone manufacturers just don’t seem to listen. They’ll make a handset which has a lot of attractive features, but fails in one huge area. Then, despite customers alerting them to the problem, they will make no attempt at fixing their faux pas. That is not the case with Motorola evidently. When the Droid Razr debuted as the skinniest handset ever designed, the high-resolution screen, high-resolution camcorder and speedy processor were showcased in an impossibly thin profile. The handset was immediately popular, and still is one of the best selling smartphones that Verizon offers. However, skinny phones usually mean poor battery life.

And that was certainly the case with the Motorola Droid Razr. Motorola listened to their customers however, and kept all the same wonderful technical specs and features that the Motorola Droid Razr offers, while increasing the battery size by 85%. Motorola named the resulting product the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX, and it is appropriately named for a couple of reasons. First off, the handset delivers 21.5 hours of talk time and 15 hours of video playback from a single charge of the 3,300 mA battery. That is easily the best performance of any 4G smartphone, and almost 3 times the industry average of 8.0 hours talk time.

But the handset is a max achiever in another important area as well. The Motorola Droid Razr MAXX 4G LTE smartphone delivers the most out-of-the-box, user accessible data storage of any 4G handset. The 32 GB that the Droid Razr MAXX offers includes 16 GB of hardwired onboard storage, and a removable 16 GB microSD chip that ships with the handset. And even with the oversized battery and 16 GB of onboard storage, high-resolution camcorder and other hardware essentials, the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX Android smartphone is still only 0.35 inches (8.99 mm) thick. That makes the handset thinner than almost all other 4G smartphone offerings.

And as mentioned above, all the drool-worthy Motorola Droid Razr specs are on board. The 4.30 inch Super AMOLED display is rendered at an above average pixel density of 256 pixels per inch, for an overall screen resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. That capacitive, multitouch screen is protected by a layer of scratch resistant Gorilla Glass. A dual core 1.2 GHz central processor joins a graphics dedicated chip and a full 1.0 GB of RAM system memory in the hardware package on board.

The rear mounted 8.0 megapixel camcorder provides video capture at a high-end 1,080P HD resolution, and the chat cam located upfront can also provide video call support. The Motorola Droid Razr MAXX runs on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system, and is currently offered at select retailers at a retail price of $199 on contract.  Buy the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx starting at $199.
