The HTC One X is already a memorable smartphone because it delivers Android’s 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system out-of-the-box, one of the fastest processors in the entire smartphone marketplace, a large high resolution display and the full range, high-end Beats by Dr. Dre audio software package. But one of the most talked about applications that the HTC One X delivers which fully features the super speedy processor, high-resolution video processing and one of the largest screens of any smartphone, and the full range Beats audio software, is the Watch movie application.

With the Watch application which allows you to play movies and videos with rent or purchase options and access to thousands of films, you receive extremely high resolution at a pixel density of 312 pixels per inch, for an overall display resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. Visuals are rendered in more than 16 million colors to the S-LCD 2 screen which is protected with a layer of scratch resistant glass.

To use the HTC Watch application, simply access the All Apps menu which lists the handset’s applications in alphabetical order. After accessing Watch, you will see four shortcut tabs at the bottom of the user interface. Downloaded, All Videos, Progress and Video Store are the four tabs which take you directly to your downloaded movies, all downloaded movies including videos that you captured yourself, a progress screen to check on the availability of currently downloading movies, and video store to purchase or rent more videos and films. TV episodes, featured videos and other recommended titles are displayed for quick access.

Aside from the high-resolution video viewing capabilities of the HTC One X, the smartphone excels in many other areas as well. One of the thinnest handsets available at 0.35 inches (8.9 mm), the HTC One X delivers a dual core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and graphics dedicated chip, 1.0 GB of system memory and 16 GB of built-in data storage. The 8.0 megapixel camcorder on the back of the handset is the first ever on a smartphone to allow high definition video recording while simultaneously allowing you to capture still snapshots. That rear device records video in 1,080P HD resolution, and joins a 1.3 megapixel chat cam on the front of the handset in the camera combo.

  1. The HTC One X does not have a kickstand. You’re confusing it with the HTC EVO 4G LTE, which does have a kickstand.

  2. Thank you. : )
