Google is gearing up to launch it’s latest smartphone that will introduce the newest Android operating syste,m – Ice Cream Sandwich. The Galaxy Nexus launch party has been happening this week in England and has been a successful marketing event so far.
The European version of the Google Nexus will support HSPA+, includes the massive 4.7 inch HD display that supports 1280 X 800 WSVGA resolutions. We are anxious to see the display on this phone as there is a lot of buzz about it. With a firm release date of November 17th, this device is going to determine just how good ICS is and if the hype is justified.
Those of you in the US will have to keep waiting for something official as to when Google will release the device there. As we have reported in previous articles, the Verizon 4G upgrade for the Galaxy Nexus should set the Nexus apart from many of the current devices supporting 4G currently. The latest release of the Motorola Droid Bionic was highly anticipated and pushed back many times due to different issues such as battery life. But upon release, although the device sold nicely, there have been a few quirks like data connection issues and app installation issues that have left some customers unhappy.
