A new regional conference series for executives in the mobile industry, key regulatory and government representatives, GSMA Mobile 360 Series will be co-located with GITEX Technology Week, one of the largest and most influential Information and Communication Technology (ICT) events in the world. This will unite leaders from across the globe to explore challenges and issues faced by the mobile industry and will enhance high level discussions and knowledge exchange.
With the launch of the GSMA Mobile 360 Series, GSMA is expanding its events portfolio. They have stated that these new thought leadership conferences will complement larger GSMA events like the Mobile World Congress, Mobile Asia Expo and NFC & Mobile Money Summit. These will also be opportunities to explore key mobile industry trends and issues on a regional basis.
Michael O’Hara, Chief Marketing Officer of GSMA, stated that as the use of mobile phones varies from region to region, and players across the mobile landscape face unique opportunities and challenges based on their specific markets. As the Mobile 360 series of events will be held around the world, the most urgent regional topics and issues can be addressed by bringing the growing ecosystem together. He also stated that in collaboration with GITEX, GSMA will work together to build upon its considerable success and provide an even greater mobile focus to attendees at GITEX Technology Week.
GITEX connects more than 138,000 industry professionals, including around 25,000 C-level executives and over 3,500 suppliers from 144 countries and has long established its position as the one of the industry’s most remunerative ICT platforms especially in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region. The GITEX conferences will be held from 20 – 24 October 2013 at Dubai World Trade Centre which happens to be the regional technology hub. Meanwhile, The Mobile 360 Series-Middle East conference will be held from 21 – 22 October at the same venue.
