The HTC Droid Incredible 2 Android smartphone was released on Verizon’s 3G network on April 28 of this year, and has been a steady performer for Verizon ever since. The handset arrived as one of the first smartphones offering a 4 inch screen, an 8.0 megapixel camcorder and 1.0 GB processor with 16 GB of RAM memory built-in. Currently retailing for $0.01 at select Verizon authorized retailers with a standard two-year activation, the HTC Droid Incredible 2 originally shipped with Android’s 2.2 Froyo operating system, but since has received two upgrades, and now uses Android’s 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS.

The capacitive multitouch display is 4.0 inches and offers 480 x 800 pixel resolution on the S–LCD screen. A light sensor is built in, and automatically adjusts for the best display depending on the amount of light present. A battery saving proximity sensor also shuts off the device when not in use.
The 1450 mAh cell battery provides 6.5 hours of talk time and 15 days standby on a single charge. The hardware package of the HTC Droid Incredible 2 includes a Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon chip set, a 1.0 GHz Scorpion processor and Adreno 205 graphics processing unit. 768 MB of RAM memory joins 16 GB of built-in storage to round out the hardware set. A microSD slot is also available for storage expansion up to 32 GB.
One of the first of a host of smartphones to offer a rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder, the HTC Droid Incredible 2 Android smartphone also offers a 1.3 megapixel front facing chat cam. That front facing chat cam also delivers video call functionality. The rear facing camcorder provides video capture at 1280 x 720 pixel resolution (720p HD), and comes equipped with autofocus, geo-tagging, face detection and special effects, and contains a video light and dual LED flash features for low light recording.
