We already knew that the HTC Droid Incredible 4G will be added on to Verizon’s stable of Android-powered devices and we finally got the announcement from the wireless provider itself during the first week of May making everything official for the handset. During that time, Verizon also announced that the handset will become available in the coming weeks although a more specific timeframe or an ETA was never mentioned. And with May already gone, just when can we expect the handset to finally make its debut in the shelves of the wireless provider?There were a couple of tidbits coming from the computers of Verizon that might be able to give up some insight regarding the availability of the HTC Droid Incredible 4G in addition to its price point. These same tidbits also give us the impression that the handset is already looming in the horizon and is about to hit the shelves of the wireless provider for that matter.
With this, we recently found out that the HTC Droid Incredible 4G already made its appearance in the TestMan site of Verizon. Although there is nothing conclusive found in the site, the info there however suggests that the wireless provider is about to kick off the sales of the smartphone. Aside from that, a price tag of $300 for the handset was also noticed although this could still be a tentative price point for the smartphone.
Not only that, we were also able to get a nugget of information from a separate Verizon system which shows that the HTC Droid Incredible 4G will be released with a $50 rebate. This will bring down the price point of the handset to just $250 assuming that the $300 price point found in the TestMan site pans out. Additionally, there is still the possibility of the price point dropping further but we are still waiting for confirmation regarding that. As for the rebate, there are some details in the rebate form that points to the HTC Droid Incredible 4G getting released this week but since the handset is yet to show its mug, a slight delay may be expected.
As for the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE, the handset will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and this will draw power from the handset’s QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset. This SoC will bring into play a dual-core 1.5 Ghz Krait processor along with a full gigabyte of RAM and the two will work together to give the handset a snappy performance. The handset will come with 8GB of internal storage but a memory expansion slot will let a user beef up the onboard storage of the device. As for its display, the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE will sport a 4.0-inch SuperLCD panel with a 540 x 960 resolution while its camera department is composed of a rear-facing 8MP camera paired with a 1.3MP webcam out front.
