HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE:Whenever Google releases a new version of its Android mobile operating system, we can expect manufacturers to scamper in reorganizing their timelines and schedules to accommodate the research and development of the new Android version for the devices in their respective lineups. Take the case of the release of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean a couple of months back at Google I/O. As soon as the announcements were made, we saw OEM after OEM take the stage to make announcements of their own regarding their Jelly Bean plans.

One of the first manufacturers to come out in the open to make as aware of its Jelly Bean plans was Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC. During that time, the list of handsets released by HTC was just partial, confirming that the HTC One X will get cranked up to what back then was the latest iteration of the Google mobile operating system in the near future. There was no mention of timelines or other HTC handsets that will get the Jelly Bean treatment, unfortunately.
Which makes the release of a new Android version bittersweet in a way. It is sweet because we know that the Android platform is rapidly evolving with more and more great features getting added on with very release but bitter at the same time because everyone is aware of the fact that it will take months before their handsets get to have a taste of the latest and greatest from Google.
In the case of HTC, we managed to get our hands on the list of HTC handsets that will allegedly get cranked up to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This is by no means the complete list but it comes from a reliable source so we are bound to share it with you. According to our source, the list includes the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE from Verizon along with other devices which are listed below:

As for the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE, the handset was unveiled back in May but it only managed to hit the shelves of Verizon in July, a couple of days before the vaunted Samsung Galaxy S III was scheduled to make its appearance in the shelves of Big Red. The handset is powered by a QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset which comes with a dual-core 1.2 GHz Krait processor and a full gigabyte of RAM while its storage space is pegged at 8GB. It has a microSD card slot for memory expansion so the meager internal storage shouldn’t pose too much of a problem here. Display-wise, the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE comes with a 4.0-inch SuperLCD 2 panel with a qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels while its dual-shooter configuration boasts of a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.3MP snapper.
