The HTC Droid Incredible 4G Android smartphone arrived on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE platform in the United States on July 5 this year. The handset delivers the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system out-of-the-box, wrapped with the HTC Sense 4.0 user interface Android overlay, which accepts multitouch capacitive gestures for device navigation. The handset measures 4.82 x 2.40 x 0.46 inches (122 x 61 x 12 mm) and weighs 4.66 ounces (132 g). The 4.0 inch display is approximately 15% larger than the display found on the iPhone, yet small enough to make the handset more portable and easier to hold in one hand than many of the current smartphones which seem to be getting bigger and bigger every day.
The HTC Droid Incredible 4G is on sale now starting at 9.99.
Pixel density runs 275 pixels per inch, for an overall screen resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The S–LCD screen is protected by a layer of scratch resistant glass, light and proximity sensors offer auto brightness adjustment and battery conservation, and video displayed on the screen can be wirelessly sent to an exterior monitor or HDTV through DLNA wireless connectivity. Those battery conservation efforts allow the 1,700 mA cell on board to deliver roughly 20% better performance than the typical 4G smartphone, providing 9.57 hours of talk time from a single charge. Standby time runs roughly 18.6 days.
