The HTC Evo 4G smartphone was one of the first on the Sprint 4G LTE system to deliver Android’s 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system out-of-the-box. Upgradable to the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, the handset launched on July 15 in the United States exclusive to the Sprint wireless carrier. Sprint recently launched their new 4G LTE system in the US, also announcing the upcoming 4G LTE support in 100 major Metropolitan areas for that network by the end of the year. The HTC Evo 4G measures 5.31 x 2.71 x 0.35 inches (134.8 x 68.9 x 8.9 mm) and weighs 4.73 ounces (134 g).
