The HTC  Evo 4G LTE which arrived on the Sprint wireless network on June 2 of this year employs the recent and successful HTC formula by providing an ultra-thin design while offering a large, high-resolution display and powerful processor. And the HTC  Evo 4G LTE finally has a network worthy of its speedy dual core processor, as Sprint recently launched their first ever 4G LTE wireless system in the US. That speedy new network went live on July 15, and is currently the exclusive home to the HTC  Evo 4G LTE Android smartphone. The handset measures 5.31 x 2.71 x 0.35 inches (134.8 x 68.9 x 8.9 mm) and weighs 4.73 ounces (134 g), making it slim and light when compared to all other smartphones.

A built-in kickstand on the back of the HTC Evo 4G LTE handset allows for convenient hands-free viewing of videos and movies, and the Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen renders visuals in more than 16 million different colors. Resolution runs to the high-end of the smartphone marketplace at 720 x 1,280 pixels on the large 4.7 inch screen, delivered at 312 pixels per inch. Corning’s Gorilla Glass provides a layer of chip and scratch resistance and glare reduction. The HTC Sense UI v4.0 meshes with Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) 4.0 out-of-the-box, and accepts standard multitouch capacitive gestures for device navigation.

Talk time from a single charge of the 2,000 mA battery runs 7.50 hours, and the hardware package centers around a Qualcomm MSM8960 chip set. The CPU on board is a dual core 1.5 GHz Krait processor, and a separate Adreno 225 GPU focuses exclusively on all graphics processing. The HTC Evo 4G handset delivers 1.0 GB of RAM system memory out-of-the-box, as well as 16 GB of built-in storage. The microSD slot built-in also provides microSDHC support for cards up to 32 GB in size.

On the back of the handset is an 8.0 megapixel camcorder which provides simultaneous HD video and image recording in stereo sound, and it is joined in the camera combo by a front facing 1.3 megapixel VGA quality chat cam. That rear snapper provides nearly instant image capture in just 0.7 seconds, and the front facing chat cam offers video call support. The camcorder delivers video recording at 1,080P HD resolution. In the multimedia package on board the HTC Evo 4G LTE, the full range Beats Audio sound system joins a built-in YouTube video player, built-in music player and Stereo FM radio with RDS song and album display.  The HTC Evo 4G recently underwent a price reduction.  View the recently reduced price for the HTC Evo 4G LTE.
