In today’s smartphone world, rarely do you get to see a very capable smartphone, a superphone if you may, with a very reasonable (hint: affordable) price point. More often than not, these handsets especially those recently released ones, run up to the hundreds of dollars and could dent your budget significantly if you so choose to go home with one of these bad boys. The rationale behind the hefty price tag attached to these handsets is very simple – you get what you pay for. Since you are getting a lot of bells and whistles from these so-called superphones, then it is only right that you shell out more compared to when getting a feature phone or a midranger for that matter.
The HTC Evo is on sale now starting at 79.99.
However, it doesn’t have to come to that extent. In fact, if you happen to be on the market for a superphone that will not break the bank anytime soon, then your best bet is the HTC EVO 4G from Sprint. The handset is right up there with other heavyweights such as the Samsung Galaxy S III and the HTC One X but the handset is not as pricey as the other two. In fact, if you go to Sprint-authorized retailers, you will be shocked at just how low the price point of the HTC EVO 4G has dropped. This very reasonable price point of the handset has hands down made it the best superphone on a budget at Sprint.
In fact, if you take a look at the price tag attached to the HTC EVO 4G, you would think that you are buying a midrange handset because of its low price. Of course, you will be required to sign a new two-year agreement with Sprint if you want to take advantage of the affordable price point of the handset but that will be negligible because chances are, you wouldn’t believe your luck for scoring a bargain with the HTC EVO 4G LTE.
This is not to say though that the HTC EVO 4G LTE is already aging and has outlived its usefulness that’s why it is now being put up on sale like that. In fact, it is exactly the opposite. The handset remains as one of the more capable device in the lineup of Sprint and its very affordable price will definitely make it one if the more popular choices at the wireless provider.
As for its specs sheet, the circuitry of the HTC EVO 4G LTE is built around its QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset with a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and a full gigabyte of RAM. Storage space on the handset is pegged at 16GB but unlike the sealed design of the HTC One X, memory expansion is possible of the HTC EVO 4G LTE because it has a microSD card slot under the hood for this very purpose. Its display on the other hand is a 4.7-inch Super IPS LCD2 panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its camera department boasts of a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.3MP snapper.

How come your article doesn’t mention that a Sprint LTE phone is indeed useless unless you have an actual functioning LTE network. For months, Sprint has stated it rolled out LTE in Dallas, but as late as a few days ago users are saying that there is no LTE. Yet their map states its active. Someone should open a class action lawsuit against Sprint for false advertising.
