The amount of money which smartphone manufacturer HTC has available to them for advertising is miniscule in proportion to companies like Samsung and Apple. But in one recent advertising video which has made its way to YouTube, the HTC One becomes the one handset chosen by a hopeful bride-to-be in a spoof of The Bachelorette. The collaboration with Funny or Die on the comical video is slated to hit movie theaters on April 26. You may recall that HTC has created an HTC One Live Experience tour for the debut of their new handset.
The HTC One Cinema Experience will roll out to select theaters across the United States, allowing you to get up close and personal with the HTC One smartphone in theater lobbies, and the comedic video will show up with movie trailers and teasers on the big screen. Whether the phone truly is “everything your phone isn’t” remains to be seen, but it certainly delivers a nice feature package and one of the largest and highest resolution displays found on any mobile handset.
The HTC One is a 4G Android smartphone which will deliver the 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out-of-the-box. Originally set to deliver in March, the launch date in the United States has been pushed back to April 19, which is just around the corner. The handset receives green certification by the independent UL Environment laboratories, designating the phone as “environmentally preferable” to those handsets not made with materials offering a minimal environmental impact.
HTC had promised to improve their previous handsets in the areas of camera operation, body durability, UI simplification and sound enhancement with the release of the HTC One. Accordingly, the phone delivers better camera quality with new UltraPixel technology and optical image stabilization, and the form factor is constructed of a premium metal unibody design. The new HTC Sense Android UI has been simplified and streamlined, and the exclusive Beats Audio sound package on board the HTC One delivers dedicated speaker and headset amplifiers.
The phone also offers a gorgeous 4.70 inch 1,080P Full HD display with extremely high pixel density and exceptional resolution. That 1,080 x 1,920 pixel S-LCD 3 screen offers a more than generous pixel density at 468 ppi, and the HTC One is powered by a Snapdragon 600 quad core chip that reportedly operates at up to 40% more power than the Snapdragon S4 Pro. The HTC One is slim and light, providing 2.0 GB of RAM memory, and is capable of simultaneously recording high definition images and high res video at 1,080P HD resolution.
