For those of you that have the brand new HTC One, which was released back in April of this year, you have been waiting long enough for the latest version of the Android operating system. The new software, which is about to be replaced by the Android 4.4 KitKat software, should be ready to download and install on your device sooner than later. Initial reports indicated that the popular HTC One was going to be getting the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software by the end of September or early October.

With September coming to a close very quickly here, it might mean that for some the update is going to be pushed into next month. HTC had announced plans to update that device a few weeks ago already and that gave users plenty of reasons to get excited since it was the latest version of the Android operating system that is available. The main thing that made news was the fact that HTC was going to skip the Android 4.2 update in favor of the Android 4.3 update. The Android 4.2 software did roll out for the HTC One in other parts of the country and that is why the news caught owners by surprise.

Even though an exact date was not given it looks like HTC One users will be getting the Android 4.3 software before the middle of October. With that being said, it does take time to get the update released to all of the users in the market, but once the last phase of software is sent out it should be before end of October for sure.
Once your HTC One is updated with Android 4.3, Google will be getting ready to release the next Nexus device called the Nexus 5 and that is expected to arrive with the Android 4.4 KitKat software pre-installed. At that time, all of the other Nexus branded devices will be getting updated as well and then users will be waiting around for the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie software to show up, which some are expecting later on this year.
