htconegoogle.comAt the moment, the HTC One is one of the more powerful devices currently available in the smartphone market today. It is the flagship device of the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer and such status brings a solid build quality and classy and elegant look to the device thanks largely to its aluminum unibody construction. Of course, it can’t be missed that the HTC One also comes with more than enough firepower in its internals to blast through any given task, or multiple ones, with relative ease.

The HTC One 4G Stealth Black original version is available for a reduced sale price now starting at .

However, since the Samsung Galaxy S IV Google Edition was unveiled a couple of weeks ago, rumors and speculations about the HTC One getting the same Nexus experience treatment were not really put to rest. After all, these two handsets are vying for the top place in the smartphone leaderboards today so the smartphone-buying population was also clamoring for HTC to come up with a variant of its flagship device running stock Android for its operating system.

It turns out that those looking to get their hands on an HTC Google Edition will now be disappointed.

Looking back, talks about the stock Android HTC One variant stated when Hugo Barra confirmed the existence of the Samsung Galaxy S IV Google Edition. HTC however was quick to deny the rumors but it looks like it is all in vain because the rumors have been confirmed – the HTC One Google Edition is real! The confirmation comes from Android head Sundar Pichai who made the announcement at the AllThingsD D11 conference.

According to Pichai, the HTC One Google Edition will hit the shelves of the Google Play Store on June 26 and the 32GB variant of the handset can be had for $599 which is $50 cheaper than the 16GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy S IV Google Edition. However, the HTC One Google Edition will not run a completely stock version of Android because of Beats Audio integration on the handset but it is very, very close to the vanilla version of the Android operating system.

In terms of its internals, the HTC One Google Edition will not have much difference from the regular Sense-laden variant of the handset that is now available in the shelves. The only glaring difference in the almost stock Android operating system it runs. The components under its hood remains the same and by this we mean that the circuitry of the HTC One Google Edition is built around a Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 chipset while a quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 processor and 2GB of RAM work together in coming up with the required computing muscle to keep the performance of the handset as smooth and as snappy as possible. As mentioned earlier, the HTC One Google Edition will come with 32GB of onboard storage while its display will be the same 4.7-inch Super LCD3 panel with the same 1920 x 1080 resolution. The camera department of the handset is also similar to the original variant of the HTC One with its rear 4MP UltraPixel shooter and front 2.1MP snapper.

The HTC One 4G Stealth Black original version can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at .
