The smartphone marketplace is often about the “next big thing” and the HTC One is a great example of that. The handset is rumored to deliver features which will certainly make it one of the most popular smartphones in the entire mobile marketplace, and just to make sure you understand how awesome their phone is, HTC is taking to the streets. That smartphone company is conducting what they are calling an HTC One Live Experience tour here in the United States, with each stop showing off the capabilities of what they hope is one of the best selling handsets of 2013.
Think of it as a rock ‘n roll band touring to show off their latest songs, and you get the idea. At each of the different HTC One event venues in the US, the HTC One features and skills will be broken down into three separate distinctions – the HTC BoomSound Lounge, HTC One Showrooms and HTC One Cinema Experiences. Obviously, the BoomSound Lounge is going to be music and audio oriented, and expect the performances to the centered around the exclusive Beats Audio sound enhancement package which delivers dedicated speaker and headset amplifiers.
The Cinema Experience is exactly what it sounds like, and will effectively demonstrate the multimedia integration of the new UltraPixel camera technology, Adreno 320 graphics processor, quad core CPU and large high-resolution screen. And the HTC One Showrooms will allow you to put the phone in your hands and test drive it yourself, and will appear in high-traffic malls. Showroom locations include Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. beginning on 11 April. The HTC BoomSound Lounges are currently offered in six major cities in the US, including Columbus Circle in New York, Embarcadero Plaza in San Francisco, Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles, Wrigleyville in Chicago, Franklin Square in Philadelphia, and Perimeter Mall in Atlanta.
And the Cinema Experience will actually be available in the lobbies of movie theaters across the United States. A list of the HTC One Cinema Experience dates and locations has not yet been released, and we will update that information as soon as it is available. Erin McGee is the Vice President of marketing for HTC in North America, and she said that the Live Experience Tour for the HTC One is the company’s effort to teach the smartphone buying public why their handset offers “a clear difference in experiences from any previous, or recently announced smartphone.”
The HTC One features a 4.7 inch 1,080P Full HD display and is powered by the quad core Snapdragon 600 chip, which is said to deliver up to 40% more power than the Snapdragon S4 Pro. The 2.0 UltraPixel camcorder on the back of the handset is capable of recording video in 1,080P HD resolution, as well as capturing slow motion clips at 768 x 432 pixels. The handset will deliver the Android Jelly Bean operating system out-of-the-box, and is NFC capable.
