HTC is about to deliver a phablet device to the market and according to reports, it could also come with a big Sense 5 user interface update. The Galaxy Note 3 competitor has been leaked several times in the last few months and once it arrives, Samsung could see its first real competition since it started developing the Note series. Last year HTC tried to compete with Samsung by releasing the HTC One X+, but that did not pan out as well as it thought it would.
The HTC One Max, also known as the HTC T6, has recently been leaked in a document from China. The report claims that the One Max is going to arrive with a 5.9-inch touch screen display that features a 1080p HD resolution. This would be the option that is said to be headed to China Mobile, but that does not mean it will not end up in the United States at some point. The camera on the HTC One Max is reportedly going to be the UltraPixel camera that came along with the original HTC One this year. Add a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, NFC and LTE support along with Android 4.3 and Sense 5.5 and you have yourself a high end device.
Information regarding the Sense 5.5 update has not been posted before so it is unclear what consumers can expect from it. One rumor that was going around was that it might come with a stylus of some sort, so maybe the update has something to do with that. The other possibility is that Sense 5.5 was a mistake as one noted leaker that has inside info claimed that he had never heard about Sense 5.5. Just like the rumors surrounding the iPhone, a fingerprint reader was expected on the HTC One Max, but there has not been any mention of that at this point.
The HTC One Max does not have an exact launch date, but it has been talked about for some time, so it could be in the next coming weeks. There are also some rumors that would suggest the One Max be released sometime in the fourth quarter, so that would be between October and December making it available just in time for the holiday shopping season. Any carrier that has the HTC One, should be carrying the HTC One Max.
