HTC released the popular One smartphone back in April of last year and since then half of the consumers were talking about the next version, while the other half talked about how awesome the smartphone was. The popularity and sales numbers certainly prove that the One was the perfect smartphone to get HTC back on the map in the smartphone world. Samsung just announced the Galaxy S5 at the Mobile World Congress event and now the attention is going to be on the new HTC One replacement. The new version is reportedly simply called the “All New HTC One”.
Even though the name does not follow typical naming convention, the smartphone is certainly going to be a new one and should have better specs than the original model released last year. There have been rumors, countless leaked images and renders over the last few months and this week does not seem to be any different. According to an online source, a couple of photos that are reportedly the All New HTC One, show the new smartphone in the color silver. The leaked image is very blurry, but you can easily see the two holes on the back side of the device.
Because the two holes are not normal, rumors started suggested the phone will come with dual cameras on the back side. The new smartphone is scheduled to be revealed on the 25th of March. HTC has been talking about taking on Samsung Galaxy S5, claiming to “One-up” the new device. Some of the rumors that have come out over the last month indicate that consumers can expect some very impressive specs on the new device.
In order to up the hardware on the second device, it will need to have a display larger than 5-inches, with a full HD 1080p resolution. The quad-core processor could be the Snapdragon 801 while rumors suggested users will see 2GB of RAM to go along with it. The front side camera was rumored to be a full 5MP, which would be the best webcam on the market today, but new rumors point to the fact that it might be 4MP instead. Samsung will certainly have a jump on the new HTC One model, but the odds are very good that it will sell just as well as the original model did last year.
