HTC may have had the distinction of being the first smartphone manufacturer to come up with a quad-core powered superphone in the form of the HTC One X but the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer still did not do well in the smartphone competition because Samsung and its flagship Galaxy S III handset was the rage in the market since getting released during the latter parts of May last year. HTC in answer gave the HTC One X a massive upgrade under the hood and came out with the HTC One X+ but it still fell short of that the Samsung superphone managed to achieve.

This time around, HTC is trying to make up for lost time in the smartphone market by unveiling its latest flagship handset, the HTC One. The handset boasts of a metal chassis and fire-breathing components under the hood and basically comes with all the bells and whistles one could ask for in an ultra high-end handset. All of this will be wasted though if there was no way for you to get your hands on the latest HTC superphone.

But if you happen to live in US shores and are already a Sprint subscriber or do not mind jumping over to the Now Network, you will definitely get excited with the piece of news we are to tell you. As it stands, just after the announcement of the HTC One, several major wireless providers in our side of the world have already made announcements of their own with regard to the addition of the HTC One to their respective Android lineups. Among these carriers that are expected to release the HTC One is Sprint and the confirmation came from the Now Network through a press statement released to members of the press.

Sad to say, the exact date as to when the HTC One will finally show its mug and make its debut in the shelves of the Now Network is still unavailable as of yet. The same goes for the pricing scheme for the handset but since the HTC One is a premium high-end handset, we are pretty sure that the latest HTC flagship handset will also command a premium price point. Those interested in making the HTC One their handset of choice have the option though of pre-registering for the HTC One to give them a heads up regarding the availability of the device.

As for the HTC One, the handset runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for its operating system and this draws power from the device’s QualComm APQ8064T SnapDragon chipset. The computing muscle needed by the HTC One on the other hand is generated by its quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 processor and 2GB of RAM. The handset will be released in a 32GB and a 64GB edition in terms of storage capacity while its display on the other hand is a 4.7-inch Super LCD3 panel with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Its camera department on the other hand is composed of a rear 4MP shooter and a front 2.1MP video call and self-portrait snapper.
