HTC designed their One X 4G Android smartphone as a slim handset packed with all the features you would expect to find on a 4G LTE mobile device. Delivered in your choice of either white or gray coloring, the handset recently received a retail price reduction from AT&T, where the handset runs in the United States on their 4G LTE network. As a multiple award winner from several technology centered websites, the device is well-regarded and highly touted among industry analysts and experts, and has been popular with smartphone shoppers as well. But when a smartphone draws the attention of a video and camera dedicated website, you really have to stand up and take notice.
Videomaker dubbed the HTC One X handset the Best Smartphone of CTIA 2012, which was held this year in New Orleans, Louisiana. As their Spotlight Award Winner among all the smartphones which debuted in 2012 previous to the CTIA industry expo, the HTC One X beat out some lofty competition for the title. And according to Videomaker, even though many handsets these days deliver the capabilities of a laptop only five years ago, the camera package on the HTC One X is what set the handset apart from the competition.
As the first mobile handset ever to deliver simultaneous high resolution Image and Video Capture, the HTC One X 4G is a groundbreaking device. But far from its only desirable feature, the handset also delivers one of the largest and highest resolution screens of any smartphone, a powerful dual core processor, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) 4.0 operating system out-of-the-box and full range Beats by Dr. Dre audio package. The debut of the HTC One X was delayed until May 23 in the United States, but ever since it hit the handset has been a flagship device for AT&T.
The 4.70 inch multitouch, capacitive screen offers an overall display resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels, and Near Field Communications (NFC) support is delivered out-of-the-box for applications like the retail payment processing Google Wallet, and data share Android Beam app. The handset boasts a 1.5 GHz dual core central processor and graphics specific chip, 1.0 GB of RAM system memory, and 16 GB of built-in, user accessible data storage. The 8.0 megapixel camcorder on the back of the handset is the snapper which provides the cutting-edge simultaneous video and image capture, and it records video in 1,080 P HD resolution. That device is joined by a front facing chat cam in the camera combo which also provides video call support.
