The grassroots occupy Wall Street movement had a rallying cry that centered around the idea of the 99% (you, me and every other non-wealthy American citizen) versus the 1% ( the Uber-wealthy Wall Street crowd). And ever since the beginning of that oft maligned camp-out protest group, I found myself wondering what these 99 percenters would do if they found themselves immediately among the 1%. I know you are probably wondering what this all has to do with mobile handsets, so I’ll give you a few clues – the HTC One X Android smartphone, the Jelly Bean 4.1 Android operating system and the month of October.

Yes, it appears that according to several reputable online sources the HTC One X Android smartphone will receive the Jelly Bean 4.1 Android operating system sometime during the month of October. While HTC has not confirmed this announcement, online technology website TG Daily, which has been providing technology news since 1998, recently made that announcement. Android Community and HTCPedia are two other websites which mirror that prediction, and that would make owners of the HTC One X 4G members of an exclusive 1% club should that unofficial prediction come to pass.

According to Google numbers released earlier this month, the Jelly Bean operating system is running on approximately 1.2% of all Android devices. A few of the updates included in this new version of the Android operating system are speed and performance enhancements, newer and sleeker home screen widgets, expandable notifications and a simpler to use app for viewing and deleting photos. Several new features offering NFC compatibility are also on board, as is a new touchscreen keyboard.

The HTC One X 4G Android smartphone received the CTIA 2012 Best Smartphone Award at that wireless industry expo held this year in New Orleans, Louisiana. Arriving this year on May 6 in the United States on the AT&T 4G LTE network, the handset delivers a large 4.70 inch Super LCD2 display with 720 x 1,280 pixel resolution and protective Corning Gorilla Glass overlay. An instant bestseller for that wireless provider, the HTC One X is the first smartphone in the world to deliver simultaneous HD video and snapshot capture. Video capture is offered in 1,080P HD resolution, and the handset is slim at 0.35 inches (8.9 mm). The HTC One X uses a speedy 1.5 GHz Krait CPU to handle device operations, and 16 GB of RAM system memory is built-in.
