HTC and AT&T debuted the One X 4G Android smartphone at the CTIA Wireless Expo and Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana this year, and that handset has quickly become a flagship phone for AT&T’s 4G LTE network. Delivering the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) 4.0 Android operating system, Beats Audio and the first smartphone capability to simultaneously capture high-resolution HD video and images, the handset recently benefited from a retail price reduction starting $119 at select retailers with a standard new two-year activation and data plan.

At that CTIA Wireless Convention the HTC One X 4G was awarded video dedicated website Videomaker’s Best of CTIA 2012 Smartphone award for the overall feature package the handset delivers. Talk time from a single charge of the 1,800 mA battery on board runs 8.50 hours, and standby time is approximately 12.6 days. Also in the hardware package is a Qualcomm MSM8960Qualcomm suite of microchips that includes a dual core 1.5 GHz Krait central processor and graphics dedicated Adreno 225 GPU. The handset contains 1.0 GB of RAM memory and 16 GB of built-in storage.
As mentioned above, the HTC One X 4G is the first handset in the world to deliver simultaneous HD video and image recording, and that is provided by the rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder. That rear snapper also delivers geo-tagging, face and smile detection, stereo sound while recording and a back illuminated sensor (BSI).
