Once again, Verizon proves that it is the undisputed leader in terms of LTE coverage in US shores. Just last month, April 19 to be exact, the wireless carrier undertook expansion and enhancement of its 4G LTE network in 10 cities and regions in the our side of the world markets in states such as Georgia, Florida, Kansas, South Dakota, New York, Iowa, Missouri and Southern Illinois. Now, barely a month after its last expansion, the carrier once again expands its coverage bringing ultra-fast mobile internet speeds to more areas in the US.

It looks like Verizon has no plans of just sitting back and watch AT&T expand its own LTE network as the wireless provider announced that another expansion of its network is set to commence on May 17 and will cover 27 new markets and areas. These include Cape May County, Atlantic City, Toms River, Point Pleasant, Belmar, Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright, and Jersey Shore along with 26 other markets. With this new expansion, Verizon is keen in keeping its competitive edge over other wireless providers thereby giving its subscribers the ability to take advantage of the speed and connectivity benefits offered by its LTE network.
So if you happen to live in one of these areas and have Verizon for your wireless provider of choice, you would need a true 4G-supporting device such as the HTC Rezound 4G to really take full advantage of the ever-growing LTE coverage of the wireless provider. If your contract is already up for renewal or are thinking of jumping ship to the carrier, the HTC Rezound 4G should be the smartphone on top of your shortlist for that matter.
Most of our smartphone-crazed brethren consider the handset as the one of the best smartphones in the Android lineup of Verizon and the only thing that hinders the handset in getting to the top is the fact that it still hasn’t gotten its taste of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich yet. Rest assured that the device will soon be upgraded to the latest iteration of the Google mobile operating system just as the LTE network of Verizon will continuously expand so if your area is still not covered, soon it will be.
As for the HTC Rezound 4G, the handset can now be had at an online retailer for only $99.99 as long as you sign a new two-year agreement with Verizon in the process. For the uninformed, the HTC Rezound 4G features a QualComm MMS8660 SnapDragon chipset in its internals while a dual-core Scorpion processor running at 1.5 GHz is paired with a full gigabyte of RAM to deliver the snappy performance of the handset.
Though its storage space only comes up to 16GB, the HTC Rezound 4G comes preinstalled with a 16GB microSD card for additional storage space. Its display on the other hand is a 4.3-inch SuperLCD panel with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it also comes with Beats Audio integration, the first HTC handset to hit US shelves to have that. As for its camera department, the HTC Rezound 4G comes with an impressive 8MP shooter at its back panel and a 2MP webcam out front. Buy the HTC Rezound starting at $99
