In what is virtually an eternity in the smartphone marketplace, the HTC Rezound 4G Android smartphone has been flying at the high end of the 4G smartphone superspeedway since November of last year. The handset was the first to deliver the full range Beats by Dr. Dre audio package to a United States handset, and is exclusive to the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system. With one of the quickest processors found on any smartphone, a large high resolution display, high-resolution camera and substantial RAM memory, the HTC Rezound 4G is still ranked among the elite of all mobile handsets almost seven months after its arrival. Verizon Wireless recently announced a retail price reduction to $99 on contract at select retailers for the Rezound 4G smartphone.
Arriving in the typical candy bar smartphone form factor, the Rezound 4G delivers an integrated set of Beats ear buds with the handset, and those ear buds are equipped with an in-line microphone and in-line remote control. This allows you to pause, rewind and fast-forward music selections while answering a voice call. The full range Beats Audio system joins a proprietary YouTube video player, Stereo FM radio with RDS and built-in music player in the multimedia package on board.
The large 4.30 inch display delivers a pixel density that ranks it among the top two or three highest resolutions of any smartphone offering. At 342 pixels per inch, that screen delivers a full 720 x 1,280 pixels overall to the Super LCD display. Light and proximity sensors are built in, and capacitive, multitouch gestures are supported.
The Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon microchip package that powers the handset includes a dual core Scorpion central processor that has been clocked at 1.5 GHz. A separate Adreno 220 chip handles all graphics duties, 16 GB of storage is built into the handset, a full 1.0 GB of RAM memory is on board and a microSD slot allows for storage expansion capabilities and offboard data access.
The HTC Rezound delivers an 8.0 megapixel high-resolution camcorder on the back of the handset, and it provides video capture at 1,080P HD while offering a dual LED flash for low light camera operation, autofocus, white balance, ISO control, Geo tagging, preloaded scenes and a special effects package. The 2.0 megapixel chat cam on the front of the handset can record video in 720P HD, and supports video calls. Recently, Verizon announced that the HTC Rezound 4G Android smartphone will receive an over the air operating system update to the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) 4.0 OS by the end of June.

It sad that they wait till the phone is ancient to recieve the update its all marketing strageties so u buy another new phone the one series will be a thing of the past in a couple of months and it will be super old by the time those phones will recieve jellybean or keylime pie. I stick with android because they have the best phone choices compared to Apple or Windows and I just live with the update headache
