The HTC Windows Phone 8X is the first Windows Phone to offer the exclusive HTC Beats Audio sound application. Beats Audio uses dedicated speaker and headset amplifiers to boost your audio signal. This sound enhancement occurs whether you are simply watching a YouTube video, listening to your favorite music files, playing an HD game or streaming your favorite movie. The phone is offered in unique color options, and hit the AT&T 4G HSPA+ network in the United States in early November of last year.
The HTC 8X 4G Windows Phone Black is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $0.01.
AT&T includes their Mobile Hotspot service built-in, and as an effective global phone attractive to business travelers, the handset can access any GSM or UMTS network in the world. The HTC Windows Phone 8X smartphone was recently spotted at an online retailer with a $0.01 on contract price tag, and claims extra-wide lenses on both the front and back cameras. Some smartphones provide an extra-wide panorama mode for their rear camera, but both the front and back snappers on the HTC Windows Phone 8X smartphone deliver an ultra-wide-angle 88 degree lens.
This allows the front facing chat cam to get up to four people in your Skype, chat or video call, and that extra-wide lens on the rear snapper teams up with a back illuminated sensor (BSI) and built-in LED flash for excellent low-light camera operation. The rear camera runs 8.0 megapixels, and provides a dedicated shutter key, the exclusive HTC ImageSense technology, and extra-fast capture times. Video is recorded in 1,080P HD resolution and 30 frames per second, and the camcorder also offers standard features such as autofocus, geo-tagging and a special effects package.
The Windows Phone 8X delivers a large 4.30 inch True HD display, which offers more than 16 million individual colors across that screen at the rate of 342 pixels located over each inch of display space. This leads to a resolution of 720 by 1,280 pixels, and the Super LCD 2 display is protected against incidental scratching and chipping by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Special light and proximity sensors are on board, offering auto dimming and auto brightness adjustment, which help to conserve battery life.
This leads to 40% better talk time than the typical smartphone offers, with 11.3 hours of talk time available to a full battery charge. The Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 system chip is built around a dual core 1.5 GHz CPU, and the hardware package also includes an Adreno 225 GPU, 1.0 GB of RAM memory and 16 GB of built-in data storage space. Facebook, YouTube, Picasa and Twitter applications have been pre-installed, as has an Internet 10 mobile web browser which is ready for use out-of-the-box.
The HTC 8X 4G Windows Phone Black can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $0.01.
