ICS source code for the Samsung Galaxy S II now available

Since the release of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, legions of Samsung Galaxy S II users have eagerly but patiently waited for the time that their handsets will finally get a taste of the latest version of the Android mobile operating system. And now that ICS has been rolled out to the device, the date March 14, 2012 will definitely be indelibly printed on the memories of our smartphone-crazed brethren rocking a Galaxy  S II as that is the day the Korean smartphone and tablet manufacturer finally started the rollout of the ICS for the device.

The release of the ICS kernel source code will be welcomed by custom firmware developers as it will be a big help to them in the development of Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs for the Samsung Galaxy  S II. With the in play, better custom ROMs for the handset can be expected to become available anytime soon.
