androiddevWith the Mobile World Congress just around the corner, rumors about new Android devices are flying high. The first on the list is Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. This third generation tab is expected to be in the 8-inch width range, and is going to ship without a digitizer of S-Pen. That could lead to lower costs, bringing it down to the sub-$200 range of Google Nexus 7. Other predicted features include 1280×800 display, Android 4.2.1 and a 1.5 GHz CPU. Samsung may opt for a dual-core version to save costs on the processor chip. The Samsung Galaxy S4 was also among the list of suspects for MWC but the company has confirmed that it will have its own event later.

Another top member in the list of incoming Android devices like the HTC M7. A recent video showing CEO Peter Chou yelling its name and using its camera at a company party has confirmed this device. Whether it will be released at the MWC however is doubtful since HTC also has its own event lined up later this month. Specifications of the M7 aren’t out yet.

The rumor mills believe that the device will run on Android 4.2 and come with a new version of HTC’s Sense UI. The phone could be as big as 5-inched diagonally, and be powered with a latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Pro chip. It wouldn’t be shocking if HTC put its highest resolution camera ever in the M7. More clarity will ensue at the company’s event in New York City on Feb 19.

Finally, there’s the Google Nexus 4. This device isn’t new, but it is just as beloved and was being missed in the markets for a few weeks now. After making buyers wait long enough, the company has finally confirmed that new shipments will hit the markets in the next two weeks. So if an order was placed today, delivery can be reasonably expected in 1 or 2 weeks – which is a big improvement from the ‘coming soon’ sign that the sold-out board was reading so far. Some reports even suggest that the phone could ship in 48 hours. Don’t blame LG, the phone was just that quick to sell out! The phone will come in both 8 and 16 GB versions and will be factory unlocked.
