The Jelly Bean 4.1 Android operating system update finally hit the Motorola Droid Razr M 4G. That handset runs on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system in the United States, and the over the air upgrade is still in the process of rolling out. Go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates to see if your handset has received the download, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the transfer. Make sure your handset has a full battery charge before installing. The new Android OS update provides for a much smoother and quicker experience, a cleaner user interface and upgraded Google Now.
On November 13 Motorola announced the beginning of the OS rollout, posting on their Twitter account that, “Android 4.1 for Droid Razr M by Motorola is available for manual download.” Since then many Droid Razr M owners have reported the upgrade is indeed in place, and is performing as expected. The browser performance has been upgraded, the CPU operates more efficiently, and vertical text is now supported. Snapshots you have taken can be viewed without leaving the camera app, and overall camera use is more intuitive. A new Face Unlock security feature has been added, and the Google Now contextual search feature and virtual personal assistant is on board.
The Motorola Droid Razr M 4G Android smartphone was designed to provide 4G connectivity and a large 4.30 inch display in the smallest possible form factor. The handset is skinny as previous Droid Razr models have been, at only 0.33 inches (8.3 mm), and is lighter than the typical 4G smartphone at 4.44 ounces (116 g). Motorola has stretched the display from edge to edge to maximize space, and the handset debuted on September 10.

The screen is a 4.30 in Super AMOLED Advanced model with resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Over 16 million colors are present in that display, and typical multitouch, capacitive gestures are supported. DLNA wireless connectivity offers video out, the screen is protected by a scratch resistant layer of Corning Gorilla Glass, and a special nanocoating gives the handset splash-proof protection. The Motorola Droid Razr M offers a full 20.0 hours of talk time from a single battery charge, with a standby time of 17.0 days. 8.0 GB of storage are built-in, along with 1.0 GB of RAM system memory, and a 1.5 GHz Krait CPU is also on board.
The microSD slot allows for storage expansion, and a rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder delivers video capture at 1,080P HD resolution. The handset supports are applications like Google Wallet and Android Beam by supplying NFC (Near Field Communications) technology, and the Droid Razr M also contains a front facing chat cam which provides video call support.
