You can buy the Samsung Galaxy Stellar for just a few pennies at select online retailers.
The confirmation came from Big Red itself who already posted the changelog and details of the Jelly Bean refresh for the Samsung Galaxy Stellar 4G in its official support site. Though there was no mention of specific date as to when the update will be rolled out, we expect it to start in the coming days.
The update itself is rather hefty at its catch weight of 403.6 MB and would take approximately 15 – 20 minutes to have it downloaded and installed on the Samsung Galaxy Stellar 4G. Once applied to the handset, it will finally give the Samsung Galaxy Stellar 4G a taste of the much-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and all of the goodies and treats that come with it. In addition to that, it will crank up the software version of the handset to IMM76D.i200VRALG4 and bring along with Google Now and Project Butter the following enhancements to the Samsung Galaxy Stellar 4G:
- Device software supports up to 64GB SD memory card.
- New VZW Remote Diagnostics application for Jelly Bean software has been added.
- Improved call clarity while using the the AUX Port of the car radio.
- Multimedia messages no longer show when user sends group text message.
- Improvements to Back Up Assistant (BuA) manual sync and Wi-Fi connection have been made.
- “Merge with Google” and “Merge with Samsung” have been removed from contact menu.

- VZW Sync & Connect email server connectivity has been improved.
- S-Suggest preloaded application has been removed.
- Verizon app store application has been removed.
As for the Samsung Galaxy Stellar 4G, the handset was launched by Verizon back in August of last year. It has its circuitry built around a QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset which comes with a 1.2 GHz Krait processor and a full gigabyte of RAM. Due to its midrange status, the storage space of the Samsung Galaxy Stellar 4G is a bit meager at just 4GB but since the handset comes with a microSD card slot for memory expansion purposes, this shouldn’t be too much of an issue really. Display-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Stellar 4G sports a 4.0-inch TFT panel with a 480 x 800 resolution while its dual-shooter configuration includes a rear 3.15MP shooter and a front 1.3Mp snapper. Save up to $20 over carrier prices and purchase the Galaxy Stellar for just the change in your pocket.
