As of the moment, there is not an iota of doubt that the Samsung Galaxy S III is one of the best handsets currently available in the market that you could get your hands on. No surprise here – it is after all the current flagship device of the Korean smartphone and tablet manufacturer and its specs sheet along with the capabilities it brings to the table are just plain impressive. Not only that, the sales figures of the handset have been impressive as well. Released back in the latter parts of May, Samsung already managed to sell 20 million units of the Samsung Galaxy S III in just a hundred days after the handset made its debut in global shelves. And despite the release of the sixth-generation iPhone and the subsequent competition from the Apple smartphone, sales of the Samsung Galaxy S III have held steady – a testament to the continuing popularity of the handset.

The Samsung Galaxy S III is on sale now starting at 99.99.

The Samsung supephone shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for its operating system when it was launched in May but Samsung officially confirmed that the handset will get the Jelly Bean refresh after Google unveiled Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the latest version of the Android operating system a couple of months back. Sad to say and as was expected, there was no mention of a specific timeframe for the rollout of Jelly Bean to the handset during the announcement.

A couple of days ago though, it was reported that Samsung already started rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to Galaxy S III handsets in Poland. During that time, there were already speculations that a global release is already scheduled to follow. Sad to say, this is not to be at this point because only Samsung Galaxy S III users in South Korea are getting the Android 4.1 refresh at the moment.

The handset is available in 16GB and 32GB in terms of storage space and has a microSD slot in its chassis that makes memory expansion possible on the device. As for its display, the Samsung Galaxy S III sports a4.8-inch SuperAMOLED HD panel with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels while its camera department is just as impressive with its rear 8MP shooter and front 1.9MP video call and self-portrait camera.
