The iPhone 6 is likely to show up this year from Apple and even though the company is very good at keeping the lid on specs and new features, plenty of leaked information gets out with each model. This time around, many of the consumers that keep an eye on Apple are expecting to see a larger display. The larger display rumor has been going around since before the iPhone 5S. With the other high end smartphones getting larger, it is about time the iPhone catches up. When iPhone information is leaked, it generally is coming confidentially via suppliers.
The latest leak is of an image that the source claims is the iPhone 6 and it looks like it has a larger display situated inside of the iPhone 5S body. Another leaked image shows a couple of different displays and 1 of them is reportedly for the iPhone 6. The largest display has no bezel on the sides, while the other two have very slim bezels which are commonly found on iPhone models from the past. The image could be faked as it is not very clear, but someone could have removed the bezels within Photoshop before posting it.
Most of the time, even with suppliers giving away little pieces of information here and there, Apple keeps the lid tight and does not reveal anything until the phone is just about ready for the stores. Just about all consumers know that anything and everything that is leaked about the smartphone should be considered rumor and this one is not any different. Reports about the new version of the iPhone from earlier this year suggested that Apple is working on a phone with a 4.5-inch display. With that being said, the phone would still be lacking where others from Samsung, LG and HTC are leading the market.
Many mid-range devices and even some that are considered entry level come with 4.5-inch displays right now, so that puts Apple in an awkward category. According to a Korean newspaper, the iPhone 6 will have a larger display that does not feature any bezel at all, which would be like one in the most recently leaked image. The source also had some claims about the Samsung Galaxy S5 that did not pan out according to what consumers saw at the Mobile World Congress event last month.
