Amazon Wireless is one of the largest and most well respected online smartphone retailers, and they are currently offering the brand-new LG Optimus G for Sprint at a special holiday sale price. The handset can be purchased for under $100 on contract. With quad cores, 4G LTE connectivity, a large high definition screen and Dolby Mobile sound enhancement, the phone launched on the Sprint 4G LTE network in the US on November 11.

With a shiny, sleek black body the handset appears different visually than the average 4G Android smartphone, and battery conservation applications like the Power Saver app and Eco Mode help deliver up to 13.0 hours from a single battery charge. Sprint has included their Sprint ID access, allowing you to customize your handset with preselected widgets and applications. 59 profile IDs are available, including ESPN, Fantasy Football, CMT and MTV packages.
QuickMemo lets you use a smart stylus to jot notes or sketch on the screen, and Video Wiz provides video editing and photo customization. The LG Optimus G also has a unique QSlide function which enables you to watch a video while simultaneously browsing the web, reading emails, or texting. The handset is slim at 0.33 inches (8.45 mm), and delivers the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system out of the box, with the LG Optimus UI v3.0 Android overlay supporting multitouch gestures.
The Optimus G measures 5.19 x 2.71 x 0.33 inches (131.9 x 68.9 x 8.45 mm) and weighs 5.11 ounces (116 g). The handset boasts a large 4.70 inch True HD IPS+ Touch Hybrid Display with a 1,280 x 768-pixel resolution (WXGA) screen, with 16 million colors delivered at a pixel density of 318 pixels per inch. That LCD display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass, with light and proximity sensors automatically adjusting for the proper brightness and helping to conserve battery life.
Graphics are handled by an Adreno 320 GPU, 2.0 GB of RAM system memory are on board, and 32 GB of data storage are built into the handset. The central processor is a quad core Krait chip clocked at 1.5 GHz, and the high-resolution camcorder on the back of the handset delivers a whopping 13 megapixels. Video is recorded in 1,080P HD resolution, and the front facing 1.3 megapixel chat cam is video call capable. The handset is Near Field Communications (NFC) supportive and a YouTube video player has been pre-installed.
