Some smartphone manufacturers try to reinvent the wheel as a follow-up to a successful product. Luckily for us, Motorola knows better. When the Motorola Droid Razr 4G was released as the skinniest handset ever designed, the next few smartphones Motorola made continued with that super slim motif. They followed up by adding extreme battery life, which was evidenced in the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX 4G, and continue to release phones with all day performance. They kept those two traits when they designed the Droid Razr HD, and added a High Definition screen. Finally, they launched the Droid Razr MAXX HD, a 4G Android smartphone that is slim, long-lasting, and delivers a large true HD display.

The recently released Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD is available for a reduced price at select online retailers now starting at 199.99.

Physically the phone looks like previous Droid Razr models, with the familiar DuPont Kevlar and aircraft grade aluminum body. Slim at 0.37 inches (9.3 mm), Motorola gives you a choice of black or white body color. Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 operating system is present out-of-the-box, with an over the air update to Jelly Bean 4.1 currently in the works. A splash-proof nanocoating protects the interior and exterior, and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass protects the display against scratching and chipping. Your personal information and privacy are protected by a personal identification number lock, government grade data encryption technology, and a remote wipe feature which allows you to erase your hard drive remotely should your handset ever become lost or stolen.

The Super AMOLED screen is 4.70 inches and delivers 312 pixels per inch for an overall display resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. 16 million colors are used to render visual displays, light and proximity sensors offer auto brightness adjustment and battery conservation, and video out to an external monitor or HDTV is provided by both DLNA and microHDMI connectivity. The oversized 3,300 mA battery on the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD 4G delivers 27.0 hours of streaming music, 13.0 hours of video playback, and a generous 21.0 hours of talk time from a single charge.

Motorola included a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 chip package, which is built around a dual core 1.5 GHz Krait central processor. An Adreno 225 GPU focuses exclusively on processing your graphics requests, and 1.0 GB of LP DDR2 RAM is on board. The handset delivers the most out-of-the-box, built-in data storage at 32 GB, with microSD and microSDHC support for external memory cards up to 32 GB. The rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder captures video at 1,080P HD resolution, and the front facing chat cam provides video call functionality. Near Field Communications (NFC) wireless connectivity is present out-of-the-box, and a YouTube player joins a built-in music player in the multimedia package.

You can purchase the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx for a reduced price tag and free shipping, now starting at 199.99.
