Verizon a few of weeks ago debuted the Nokia Lumia 928 4G smartphone, and it is being hailed by critics as having the best camera package of any Verizon handset. It also delivers the Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system that can sync with your Windows powered personal computer, a large high-resolution display and Carl Zeiss lens package. The mobile version of the Internet Explorer 10 web browser has been pre-installed and is ready for use out-of-the-box, and the phone offers high resolution video capture.

But seemingly flying under the radar is the excellent battery performance the Nokia Lumia 928 offers. The average mobile handset on the market today delivers 8.0 hours of talk time from a full battery charge. The designers at Nokia have somehow figured out how to squeeze double that offering from the 2,000 mA battery on board the phone. The Nokia Lumia 928 4G delivers a full 16.2 hours of talk time after a single charge, and a more than generous 25.2 days of standby battery power.
Available on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system in the US since May 16 of this year, the Nokia Lumia 928 delivers NFC wireless support out-of-the-box, as well as the latest Windows Phone 8 operating system. The handset is slim at 0.40 inches (10.1 mm), and delivers the popular PureView technology in a slimmer and more compact form factor than the chunky Lumia 920. High-performance microphones are also on board, capturing up to 140dB sound without distortion.
The Nokia team gave the Verizon Lumia 928 4G a large 4.5 inch display, and pixel density is extremely high. More than 16 million individual colors are spread across the AMOLED screen at a rate of 332 pixels over each inch of display space. This delivers a WXGA True HD+ resolution of 768 by 1,280 pixels, and standard capacitive, multitouch gestures are used for device navigation. Light and proximity sensors have been built into the display, offering auto dimming and auto brightness adjustment, which help conserve battery power.
The power pack is anchored by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 system chip, with a dual core 1.5 GHz Krait CPU as its cornerstone. Graphics are handled by an Adreno 225 GPU, a generous 32 GB of built-in storage is present, as is 1.0 GB of RAM memory. The rear facing 8.7 megapixel PureView camera is capable of recording video in 1,080P HD resolution, and delivers a special effects package and several high-end customization features. That rear snapper also offers a Xenon flash, and is joined in the camera combo by a front facing 1.9 megapixel chat cam.
