Holiday shoppers are going to be out in full force over the next 30 days or so and companies and big brands are scrambling to make sure their products are at the top of the list. Mobile apps are starting to make shopping more affordable and easier for customers and there are some nice free applications you can download that will assist you in your adventure during the holiday shopping season. Some are for price comparisons, others will help you to make a list and share it with family and friends, but they all have one thing in common and that is to make shopping less stressful.
Slice is a free app that can be downloaded from iTunes App Store and is available only for iOS devices as of right now. This app helps you to organize your online shopping. The app works with Gmail and Yahoo Mail to find receipts from online purchases and puts them all in order for an easy to see list. You can create shopping lists, alerts and the app even helps you track your packages. Customer service phone numbers are also at the ready with the Slice app.
TGI Black Friday is an app that is available for free to download on any Android or iOS powered device. The app allows customers to search and view tons of Black Friday deals from all the major retail outlets. With this app you will know exactly when the newest Black Friday deals were released, or leaked, from stores in your area.
Shopkick is a mobile app that is based on similar location rewards and deal apps. Daily deals popup and shopkick give consumers rewards, or “kicks” for shopping at certain stores like Best Buy and Target. With the “kicks”, customers can earn gift cards, Facebook credits or make donations to over 30 charities. The app is free of charge and can be downloaded for Android and iOS powered devices.
Another popular shopping app is one called “RedLaser”. This app turns your smartphone into a scanner allowing customers to scan barcodes and get the best deals on that product whether it’s locally or online. RedLaser searches Google Products, eBay, The Find and other places to get you the most products available to make price comparisons easy. This app is free to download on any Android and iOS powered device.

As far as saving when buying on eBay goes:
Use a site like Ebuyersedge.com to set up saved searches. You get an e-mail whenever a matching item is newly listed. Especially good for “Buy It Now”s that are priced right.
Try a misspelling search using a site like Typojoe.com to hopefully find some great deals with items that have main key words misspelled in the title. Other interested buyers might not ever see them.
If you see an auction that you want to bid on, use a sniping service such as Bidball.com to place your bid for you. It’ll bid in the last few seconds, helping you to save money and avoid shill bidding.
