The Samsung Galaxy S III is by far the most successful iteration of the Galaxy S line of devices from the Korean smartphone and tablet manufacturer. Announced back in the early parts of May, the handset enjoyed immense popularity and we saw preorders for the handset hit the 9 million mark in just a couple of days after it was announced. Because of this, shortage of stocks were seen which inevitably led to delays in the launch of the handset in several markets. Now that the handset has finally hit the shelves, its popularity continues and it has become a veritable gold mine for Samsung – after all, the manufacturer already managed to sell 10 million units of the Samsung Galaxy S III worldwide in less than two months since its launch.
The Samsung Galaxy S III for Sprint is on sale now starting at $99.99.
In US shores, all major wireless carriers have released their version of the venerable Samsung flagship and Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S III has just gotten a wider playground with the carrier’s expansion of its LTE network. This development came after the carrier confirmed the addition of four new markets for its LTE network and these are as follows:
- Sedalia, MO
- Manhattan / Junction City, KS
- Gainesville, GA
- Baltimore, MD
Aside from these new additions, the carrier announced that its 4G LTE service will also get lit up in Sherman-Dennison, TX in the weeks ahead. Sprint also confirmed that it has already activated its all new 3G services in Washington, DC, Baltimore and Boston and this is expected to give its subscribers reduced blocked / dropped calls, improved in-building coverage and exceptionally clear signal. This is all in line with the carrier’s initiative of Network Vision.
With this LTE expansion, users of the Sprint version of the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III in the above-mentioned locations can now start enjoying all the benefits of the LTE network of the carrier such as faster mobile internet speeds and lower latencies.
