motoxFor those of you that are looking for the best way to customize a smartphone and thought about adding the Moto X to your resume of smartphones, take a look at the deal that Best Buy has to offer.  With the iPhone 5C recently getting dropped to just $99, Motorola has responded with the same deal for its popular Moto X smartphone.  When the Moto X first arrived on the market, the $199 price tag did not jive with the specs and screen size and that got many people wondering why Google and Motorola would charge so much.

The Verizon Motorola Moto X is also available at a reduced sale price at select online retailers starting at $99.99 at select online retailers.

What some consumers might have been missing was the fact that the smartphone could be customized in many ways on the outside, plus if you were attached to the AT&T network you got a chance for plenty of ways to customize your phone and plus the device has plenty of hands-free voice activation features.  Taking a look at that, the price tag is not all that bad, but in order to compete with the lower cost iPhone 5C, Motorola was forced to drop the price of the device down to just $99 at Best Buy.

The $99 deal goes for the Moto X and that includes AT&T, Verizon Wireless or the Sprint network, so you should not be left out because you do not live in the coverage area.  All that you have to do is go to Best Buy Mobile instead of your normal mobile carrier and there you can pick up the 16GB Moto X with a new contract.  The deal does not only apply to new customers however, if you are looking to upgrade, you can get the same price.  The current Best Buy deal even beats the one that we have seen on Amazon, which has the Moto X listed for $149.

The deal is not likely to last very long, but is intended to keep consumers from picking up the iPhone 5C there is no doubt about that.  If you are looking to customize your smartphone you can do so with the Moto Maker, which will be available on the Verizon Wireless website around the 11th of November.  That can be used to choose the color of your battery case, trimming and even the buttons on your new Moto X.

You can also purchase the Verizon Motorola Moto X handset at a discounted price tag at select online retailers starting at $99.99.
