kitkatandroidThe Android 4.4 KitKat operating system update is in full swing for Verizon Droid MAXX handset owners, and there is a lot on board. Ensure that your phone has a full battery charge before downloading, as this is a rather substantial transfer. Once you receive your notification and follow the on-screen prompts, you will be enjoying the benefits of Android 4.4 version 19.5.3.obake-maxx_verizon.Verizon.en.US, which has been rolling out in batches for about a week now.

The Motorola DROID MAXX is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $49.99 – $659.99.

We knew that this much-anticipated software was going to deliver a new full-screen mode and color emoji support, as well as improved closed captioning functionality. But overall a better security profile has also been added, and though the Droid MAXX already crushes all other handsets in the area of battery life, smarter power use makes that impressive performance even better. What may confuse some Verizon Droid MAXX owners is the fact that several visual features of the new Android 4.4 update will give your phone the appearance of the previous Jelly Bean OS.

The Verizon changelog mentions that this new Droid MAXX Android software will provide updates to or integration with the following list of widgets and applications: Verizon Mobile Security, Verizon Tones, Amazon Kindle, Audible, Quick Office and Motorola Assist. Google Photos and NFL Mobile version 8.2.3 have also been integrated. Droid Zap 2.0 is present, which is exclusive to Verizon Android handset owners, and allows you to add any content to the cloud. Android handset owners which download Zap can access that data. But only Verizon Droid handset owners can use this feature to send photos and data into the cloud for free sharing.

The same Google Hangouts application lists all of your SMS and MMS messages, right alongside your video calls and other conversations. Image quality on the main 10.0 megapixel camera has been improved, with better “color, exposure and dynamic range accuracy” according to Verizon. Noise reduction in low-light situations is also better on that rear facing shooter, and touch to focus is now available. The immersive interface allows you to pause, play and jump to particular songs or movie chapters quickly, and you now have the capability of hiding the status bar on your Droid Maxx.

Also, Android 4.4 KitKat for the Motorola Droid MAXX smartphone means that as you are streaming or projecting any media to your display or an external monitor, full-screen album and movie art are now presented. Delivering a full 48.0 hours of full range use after a complete battery charge, the Droid MAXX 4G running on Verizon is the King of the mobile marketplace in that regard. With a large 5.0 inch True HD display, 2.0 GB of RAM memory and 1.7 GHz CPU, the handset has been a powerful and popular choice among smartphone shoppers, and now runs the latest in Android software.

The Motorola DROID MAXX can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $49.99 – $659.99.

  1. I have a MAXX with kit kat. Although I’ve really enjoyed the update I like many others can no longer use MS Exchange with the stock email application which is so frustrating. My particular problem relates to an exception conflict of some sort. For me it’s the Savior app touchdown until Google publishes an update!
