The Motorola Droid Mini is starring in the Amazon Cyber Monday Deals Week holiday sale, and was recently spotted for one penny on contract. The nearly free price tag arrived on Black Friday, and has been extended through Amazon’s holiday sale period. The Motorola Droid Mini has beefed up several features from previous Droid models, such as the main camera, which now delivers a 10.0 megapixel sensor and a Quick Capture mode which can be accessed by simply shaking the phone twice.
The Motorola DROID MINI is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $0.01 – $599.99.
Quick Capture instantly brings up the camera so you never miss an important shot, and then you simply tap anywhere on the screen to collect the snapshot. Motorola has also included Clear Pixel camera technology, which basically allows the main camera to draw in more light than other typical smartphone snappers. This technology also limits blur and noise, and offers snapshot capture at speeds up to twice that of cameras found on other mobile handsets. That rear shooter records video in Full HD 1,080P video resolution and stereo sound.
The main camera delivers a 16 to 9 aspect ratio and slow-motion recording capabilities, a multishot burst mode, a 4X digital zoom, an extra-wide panorama mode and digital image stabilization. The Motorola Droid Mini also offers a front facing 2.0 megapixel camera, which is perfect for self portraits and video calls and chats. One of the new features on the Motorola Droid Mini is called Droid Zap, which offers cloud sharing with nearby Android phones.
You can also set Droid Zap to simply share your data files, music, snapshots and other information to only those Android phone users that you supply with a special pin code. As far as size goes, Motorola Mobility designers effectively made the handset as small, slim and light as possible, while also delivering an extended life battery, large high-resolution display and powerful hardware package. Measuring just 4.77 x 2.41 x 0.35 inches (121.25 x 61.3 x 8.9 mm) in size, despite Gorilla Glass display protection and a durable Kevlar fiber back plate, the Droid Mini smartphone has a considerably smaller and more diminutive form factor than other 4G smartphones with a 4.30 inch screen.
That LCD display delivers a True HD designation with a resolution of 720 by 1,280 pixels, delivered at a high-end pixel density of 342 pixels per inch. A full 28.0 hours of talk time and two weeks of standby battery power are delivered after a full charge, which can also be obtained through wireless charging. The Motorola X8 Mobile Computing System includes a 1.7 GHz central processor, quad core graphics processor, separate language processor with Google Now “always on” integration and a separate computing core. 2.0 GB of RAM is present, as is 16 GB of built-in storage. The Motorola Droid Mini can function as a Wi-Fi hub for multiple wireless devices.
The Motorola DROID MINI can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $0.01 – $599.99.
