Arriving on September 10 on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network in the United States, the Motorola Droid Razr M Android smartphone hit the marketplace with a budget bin price tag. With a sub hundred dollar price tag on contract at select locations online, the handset nonetheless delivers a large screen, high resolution display, and familiar Droid Razr Kevlar backing. The handset also delivers extensive run time out-of-the-box, the same waterproof protection offered by previous Droid Razr handsets, and a super skinny profile. The Droid Razr M also delivers Android’s 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system out-of-the-box with a promised delivery of Jelly Bean 4.1 by the end of the year made by Motorola recently.

The Motorola Droid Razr M 4G is on sale now starting at 49.99.

The 4.30 inch screen offers 960 x 540 pixel resolution, and it extends from edge to edge, delivering that large screen in as small a physical handset size as possible. The DuPont Kevlar and aluminum design, nanocoated insides and protective Corning Gorilla Glass display overlay make for a rugged handset. Powering the brand-new Droid Razr model is a dual core 1.5 GHz central processor, and the camera combo on board includes a front facing chat cam and rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder. Near Field Communications (NFC) wireless technology is offered out-of-the-box, supporting applications like the Android Beam data share app and Google Wallet retail payment processing application.

The Motorola Droid Razr M 4G LTE handset delivers many features which are not much different from other high-end Android devices, but as with other Droid Razr handsets, extreme battery life is present out-of-the-box. Motorola claims the device gets up to 20 hours of battery run time from what they call mixed usage. However, many Droid Razr M handset owners are already reporting a full 24 hours worth of use before needing a recharge. The handset contains 8.0 GB of storage built-in with a microSD slot allowing for storage expanding SD cards up to 32 GB in size.

An Adreno 225 graphics processor joins the CPU in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 microchip package on board the handset, and the Super AMOLED advanced display contains standard light and proximity sensors, delivering visuals in more than 16 million colors. That proximity sensor helps the 2000 mA battery on board get such excellent run time, and standby time sits at 17.0 days. The rear facing camcorder comes with a built-in LED flash for low light operation, and a YouTube video player joins a built-in music player in the multimedia package on board the handset.

Buy the Motorola Droid Razr M 4G now starting at 49.99.
