It is well known that the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX Android smartphone delivers maximum battery performance. And a lot of smartphone shoppers realize that it also offers the most out-of-the-box data storage of any handset at 32 GB. That is comprised of 16 GB built in and a removable 16 GB microSD card that ships with the handset. But what a lot of consumers don’t know is that the Droid Razr MAXX can function as a 10 or 14 inch laptop, multimedia center, in-car, hands-free GPS and a desktop PC when coupled with optional Motorola accessories.
The Lapdock 100 is a Motorola-made 10 inch laptop which uses the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX for its power. The handset simply docks into the back of the Lapdock 100, and the resulting 10.1 inch laptop complete with trackpad and full keyboard is lighter and thinner than comparably sized notebooks. The Lapdock 100 also adds an additional five hours of runtime to the already generous battery performance the handset enjoys. The Lapdock 500 works in the same way, creating a larger 14 inch laptop and adding seven hours of battery runtime.
The in-vehicle dash or windshield mounted GPS accessory allows you to use your voice to access the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX 4G, offering turn by turn GPS guidance as well as hands-free voice call support. Motorola also makes an optional HD Station that couples with the Droid Razr MAXX handset, and provides three USB ports and an HDMI cable for hooking into other consumer-electronics and peripherals. You can create a desktop PC by hooking up a mouse, keyboard, monitor and speakers, or use your Droid Razr MAXX as a multimedia hub and entertainment center.
Obviously, the Droid Razr MAXX running on Verizon’s 4G LTE system in the United States is also an excellent Android smartphone. Delivering simultaneous voice and data access and speed up to 10 times faster than the Verizon 3G network, the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX is thin at 0.35 inches (8.99 mm) overall. The 4.30 inch display is a Super AMOLED advanced model with protective Gorilla Glass coating, and 540 x 960 pixel resolution. The 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 CPU is joined by a graphics specific PowerVR SGX540 and 1.0 GB of RAM system memory in the handset’s hardware package, and video recording is provided at 1080 P HD resolution by the rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder. A front facing chat cam is also on board, providing portrait snapshots and video call support.
