The handset offers water resistant protection with a special nanocoating, a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass protects against everyday scratches and chips, and the handset is designed with a strong DuPont Kevlar and aircraft grade aluminum body. The handset also delivers a special security suite of software that is flying under the radar.

Should your handset ever become lost or stolen, you can erase the hard drive on your Droid Razr MAXX HD from any computer with an Internet connection. That is made possible with the remote wipe application the handset offers, and you can also limit access to your Droid Razr MAXX HD thanks to the personal identification number locking system. The handset also offers government grade data encryption for your e-mail, calendars and contacts, keeping your personal information safe and secure.

Launched on October 18 on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system in the United States, the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD recently received an upgrade to the Jelly Bean 4.1 operating system. That Android OS offers smoother and quicker user interaction, better camera operability, an improved Google Now experience, and enhanced graphical capabilities. Offered in your choice of either white or black, the handset also delivers NFC (Near Field Communications) support out-of-the-box.

Skinny at 0.37 inches (9.3 mm), the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD 4G delivers the NFL Mobile sports app exclusive to Verizon customers, as well as one of the largest displays found on any smartphone. That Super AMOLED screen is a 4.7 inch model, with high-end pixel density running 312 pixels per inch. That gives the screen an overall resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, and 16 million colors can be found on that display. Whatever images or video you are viewing on the touchscreen can be exported to an external monitor or HDTV thanks to microHDMI and DLNA video out options.

The extended life, oversized 3,300 mA battery on board the Droid Razr MAXX HD delivers generous battery performance, offering up to 21.0 hours of talk time from a single charge. The handset is also capable of delivering you 27.0 hours of streaming music, 10.0 hours of streaming video and 13.0 hours of video playback from a single charge. A dual core 1.5 GHz CPU is at the cornerstone of the handset’s hardware package, and 32 GB of built-in data storage benefit from a microSD slot offering storage expansion. 1.0 GB of RAM system memory is on board, as is a rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder with 1,080P HD video capture.
