The Motorola Moto X was recently spotted at the Amazon Wireless store during that company’s annual holiday sale, and the phone was the first to deliver Motorola’s unique X8 Mobile Computing package. The handset includes a language processor, separate contextual computing core, quad core graphics processor and dual core 1.7 GHz CPU in a chip package which spreads low-energy and other simple operations across all of those cores, which speeds up the central processor. The phone also delivers a large True HD display, generous RAM memory and 50 GB of free Google Drive virtual storage.
And just recently Motorola began rolling out a software boost to the main camera on the Moto X, version 3.1.41.2. Users in North America should receive a notification that the software update is ready for download over the next few days, with this OTA camera upgrade fixing some minor bugs and adding additional language support for voice control options. Basically, the way you manually control focus and exposure has been improved, and is more efficient and easy to access.
The Motorola Moto X panorama mode has also been given better exposure, and since the Moto X camera application is available in the Google Play store, Motorola can frequently tweak and improve the app, so you do not have to wait until wireless carriers decide to release any future upgrades. The main focus on the Motorola Moto X camera boost centers around how you manually control focus and exposure. By simply swiping across the Moto X display when in camera mode, you pull up the camera settings.
You will see an icon which shows a finger pointing into a square, and after you select this, you can drag a bracket anywhere on your display when taking a picture to automatically increase or decrease your focus and exposure settings. Since the Moto X appeared in August of this year, the phone has been a hit with smartphone shoppers thanks to its large 4.70 inch True HD AMOLED display, 2.0 GB of RAM memory and a rear facing Quick Capture 10.0 megapixel camera. That rear snapper records video in 1,080P HD resolution, and a front facing chat cam is also on board.
The phone has also been praised by Consumer Reports as being more attractive than the new Apple iPhone 5S and 5C handsets, thanks to the power saving Active Notification and hands-free Touchless Control features it debuted. You can now operate your handset in truly hands-free fashion, and train your Motorola Moto X to understand your specific voice, even in a crowded room. A minimum of 13.0 hours of all-around use is provided from a single battery charge, with the Moto X providing wireless access through Bluetooth 4.0 NFC and Wi-Fi mobile hotspot connectivity options.
